Jet fuel price slashed by 11.7%



Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price in Delhi has been cut by Rs 5,469.12 per kilolitre (kl), or 11.7%, to Rs 40,938.24 per kl, oil companies have announced.

Boeing Receives $1.49 Billion Contract for 13 P-8A Poseidon Aircraft


Boeing [NYSE: BA] will provide the first P-8A Poseidon maritime surveillance aircraft for Australia and additional P-8As for the U.S. Navy following a $1.49 billion contract award from the Navy for 13 aircraft.

Arik Air catering staff got N400,000 to smuggle cocaine on board aircraft

An employee of Arik Air, Mr. Ikechukwu Chibuzor Oliver has confessed that he collected N400,000 advance payment to smuggle 20 kilogrammes of cocaine on board the airline’s aircraft, report says.

Nigeria Inaugurates committee on Establishment of National Carrier

Following President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to establish a national airline, the permanent secretary, Ministry of Aviation, Binta Bello, on Monday inaugurated a 12-member Ministerial Committee on the establishment of a National Carrier.

Air Passengers Aggrieve Over Delay Of Benin Airport

The rehabilitation of the Benin Airport originally billed to be completed in three weeks has entered its third month with no sure date of finishing and putting the airport back to use and already complaints are rife among air passengers who berate the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in charge for the delay of the project.

Ethiopian Airlines Targets 140 Aircrafts, 22 Million Passengers In 2025



In an attempt to promote quality service in the aviation industry, Mr Solomon Begashaw , General Manager, Ethiopian Airlines, Nigeria office, has said that the airline is expected to have 140 aircraft in its fleet by 2025.

FG Urges Airline Operators To Pay Dues

The Federal Government has urged the Airline Operators in Nigeria to pay their dues to the aviation agencies promptly to avoid the embarrassment of their airlines being grounded by the regulatory Agencies in the Aviation sector and also enable the Agencies to carry out their statutory functions effectively and efficiently.
