FAAN denies stopping Patience Jonathan from using VIP lounge


The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has denied reports that former First Lady, Patience Jonathan was denied access to the VIP lounge of the Port Harcourt International Airport recently. FAAN in a statement issued by its general manager Corporate Affairs, Mr Yakubu Dati yesterday, July 28th, said the reports are false and misleading.

Tragedy averted at Lagos Airport as aviation fuel tanker tumbles



Tragedy was averted Tuesday morning in Lagos as a 33, 000 litres Jet A1 tanker with fuel tumbled at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, MMA. The incident occurred around the road close to the access gate of the airport.

First Nation Airways Blames FAAN For Aircraft Collision





First Nation Airways has blamed the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) officials for the collision of two of its Airbus 330 planes which had about 250 passengers and crew members on board when the accident happened recently at the Murtala Mohammed Airport 2 (MMA2), Lagos, although no casualty was recorded.

Airline operators call for reduction in operation cost



Airline Operators Association of Nigeria (AOAN) has recently  called on the Federal Government to review the charges paid by its members in order to reduce their high cost of operation.
